• If the following popup appears on opening a company in Tally, follow the steps.

Steps: - 

  • First, take manual backup of the company which is showing error.
  • To take backup manually, open the folder where Tally data is stored and select error company’s folder. (E.g. – company folder name – 10002)
  • Copy the folder and Paste it on Desktop.
  • Open the folder and select 0 KB & 1 KB TSF files.

  • Once selected, delete the TSF files.
  • Open Tally.ERP 9.

  • Press Ctrl+Alt+R to Rewrite the company and Press Enter to select the company that you need to rewrite.

  • When Rewrite popup screen appears, Press Yes to rewrite.

  • When Backup before rewriting? Popup appears, Press No .
  • The company is rewriting as shown below.

  • Once rewrite is complete, click on Select Company.

  • Select the company and check the data.

  • If company is working properly, copy the company folder again in Tally data folder.
  • Rename the company (10002) already existing in Tally data folder.
  • Now, Copy the backup folder and Paste it in Tally data folder.
