• Email Configuration in Tally.ERP 9 is easy and simple because the user has the option to select some of the commonly used e-mail service providers.
  • On successful configuration of e-mail in Tally.ERP 9, you can mail ledgers, Pay Slips, Outstanding Statements, Confirmation of Accounts, Reminder Letters etc. to various parties/customers without even using an external e-mail application.

To setup the E-Mail configuration in Tally.ERP 9: -

  • Open the Tally.ERP 9 

               Go to F12: Configure > Emailing.


  • Select the required E-Mail Server from the list of Common Mail Servers.

  • The Server Address field displays the SMTP server address and port number according to the E-Mail Server selected.

  • Set the option Use SSL to Yes.

  • Set the option Use SSL on Standard Port to No. 


  • The option is set to Yes only, if Hotmail is used as the e-mail server.
  • The From E-Mail Address fields are filled by default using the company information.

  • Enter the Authentication User Name and the Password, if required.


  • Select the required Format, Page Size, and Page Orientation field.
  • The E-Mail Configuration screen appears as shown below:

  • Press Ctrl+A to accept.
  • For Example :- Mailing the Day book 
  • Following are the steps
  • Go to Gateway of Tally>Display

  • Go to Daybook

  • Click e-mailing or Alt+M


  • The client will be able to view this screen


  • Enter appropriate Email Id and password of the sender 

  • Enter the appropriate mail id of the receiver and the client can select multiple Email Id also

  • Enter Email Id  and can add text and accept the changes the mail will be sent to the concerned person

  • Enter or click on  yes
