There are two ways to Surrender License in Tally.ERP 9.

  • Surrendering License from Licensing Menu.

  • Right-click on tally.exe

  • Select Run as Administrator.

  • Once Tally opens, Click on F12: Configure

  • Click on Licensing

  • Click on Surrender  License

  • Enter the Administrator e-mail ID and Tally.NET password in the Surrender License screen, as shown below:

  • Press Enter to Surrender your license.
  • A confirmation message appears once your license is surrendered.


Surrendering License from Control Centre.

  • Right-click on tally.exe
  • Select Run as Administrator.
  • Once Tally opens, Click on Control Center.

  • Enter the Email-id and Password

  • Control Centre window opens.
  • Click on Licence Management or Press Alt+I

  • Select the license which is to be surrendered.
  • Click on Active and press spacebar. Select Surrender.

  • Press Enter and Accept the Changes.
  • License will be SURRENDERED
