When a businessman wants to know the performance of two or more of his companies at a time, then he can use group company option in Tally.ERP 9. In Tally.ERP 9 , you get the option to create a group company which is made up of individual companies belonging to same owner or management.
By this option we use all our companies as a Group and see the performance of all companies at a time. We can also compare performances of companies.
